Week 4

I got off to a rough start to week 4!!! I was so excited to get to class & get to work on my piece that stopping for gas slipped my mind!!!! Ran out & had to have someone pick me up!! I made it though & really enjoyed grinding the glass & making it fit! I hope to get done grinding early & catch up with everyone foiling! I look forward to it every week! I can't figure out how to post pics to this though!

Week 3

Week 3 was so enjoyable! The time went by so fast because I was totally angaged in what I was doing! It has been a very long time since I have spent time doing something I enjoy & not giving a second thought to the 100 other things I needed to get done! I was good therapy! I enjoyed meeting Troy & I am glad he showed me how to use the grooves on the glass cutter to break the glass after I cut it. It was much quicker for me!! Can't wait till my Wed. therapy session this week!!

Week 2

WOW! That was fun!!  I'm not sure I passed my final but I really enjoyed learning how to cut glass!!!  I had no idea that's how it would be done!!  I would love to make something that looks similiar to this....

Rachel Intro

Hi guys!!  My name is Rachel Beahrs.  I have been a Speech Therapist for Cabell County for 21 years, which I can't believe!!!  I spent 14 years at Spring Hill Elementary & this is my 7th year at Martha & Salt Rock. I have 2 awesome kids, Jessie is starting her senior year at Marshall & Jake will attend MU for his first time tomorrow!!! I am sooo excited about finally learning how to make stained glass instead of just admiring it!
